# ScriptHaul

> Free bulk YouTube transcript downloader. Paste a public video, playlist, or channel and every available caption comes back as TXT, SRT, VTT, Markdown, or timed JSON, with a manifest that says what happened to each video. No account, no sign-up. Transcripts come from the captions creators or YouTube already published; ScriptHaul never downloads video or audio.

## What it does

- Single video: a shareable transcript page with copy and download in five formats, plus a refresh link if YouTube's captions changed since the first fetch.
- Playlist or channel: a bulk job of up to 500 videos at a time, newest first, with a live progress page, per-video downloads, a browser-built ZIP, and "next 500" for larger channels. Batches of one channel link to each other.
- Choose videos: pick specific videos from a channel or playlist, with thumbnails, before anything is fetched.
- Pasted lists: paste any text containing YouTube links (up to 500) and get them all.
- Languages: request a caption language; the result is labelled with the language actually delivered, whether the track was manual or auto-generated, and whether a translation was served or refused. Nothing is silently substituted.
- Cached transcripts are shared and instant; a transcript fetched once is free for everyone after that.

## Limits (free site)

- 10 jobs and 2,000 newly fetched videos per visitor per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Cached videos never count.
- 500 videos per job; larger channels continue in batches.
- Videos without captions, private, or removed videos are reported as such in the manifest, never skipped silently.
